How to Measure for Your Pool Border
1. Add the lengths of all four sides.
Example: For a 30 ft × 15 ft pool:
30 + 30 + 15 + 15 = 90 ft
2. Subtract the width of the stairs.
Example: If your stairs are 3 ft wide:
90 − 3 = 87 ft
3. Order 87 linear feet.
We’ll include an additional 3 feet free for added peace of mind, so you’ll receive 90 feet in total.
How to Measure a Round Pool
1. Measure around the inside perimeter of the pool.
Use a flexible measuring tape and measure all the way around the pool at the height where the border will be installed.
2. Order that number in linear feet.
Example: If the pool measures 78 feet around, order 78 linear feet.
3. We’ll add 3 extra feet free.
If you order 78 feet, you’ll receive 81 feet in total for added safety.
No flexible measuring tape?
Measure the pool’s diameter and multiply it by 3.14.
Example:
24 ft diameter × 3.14 = 75.36 ft
Round up and order 76 linear feet.
