INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
- Lower the water level in your pool to no less that 13 inches giving you room to install your border.
- For inground pools with fiberglass stairs, locate the molding on both sides. This molding has a snap-in piece in the middle to hide the screws. Gently remove this piece using a flathead screwdriver.
- Remove the top two or three screws to separate the molding from the pool, allowing space to slide in your border. You do not need to remove every screw.
- The skimmer has a similar snap-on cover. Remove it to expose the screws, then remove all screws and set them aside along with the base and cover.
- Clean the surface around your pool thoroughly with alcohol or dish detergent where the new border will be installed. It is important to remove all pollutants accumulated over the years.
- Unroll a few feet of the border and place the start at the edge of the stairs behind the unscrewed molding. Ensure the border follows the edge of your existing coping which is the moulding that runs along the entire length of your pool.
- Once aligned, peel back about one foot of the backing to expose the adhesive.
Align the border with the coping, ensuring the liner extends just past the molding so it can be trimmed later. - Using a squeegee, smooth the border over the surface while keeping it slightly off the surface. Adjust as needed for alignment. You can reapply within ten minutes if necessary. Once you have the fist foot installed, the rest is a breeze.
- Screw the molding back in place and replace the snap-in piece.
Continue installing one or two feet at a time, readjusting if necessary to ensure proper alignment with the coping. Using your squeegee, be sure to work out any trapped air bubbles. - Once you get to your skimmer, cover the hole, cut the material out and replace the skimmer cover.
- Continue this until you return to your starting point. Install the border behind your last moulding, cut the material and replace the moulding and cover.
